Amaliz Photography

This is a site that I’m just wrapping up as I type this. Amaliz Photography is a photography site for a friend of mine, Amanda Contreras, so I gave it some extra attention. I used wordpress as the content management system, and picked a theme that allowed me to add some pretty cool widgets/plugins…the photo gallery plugin was a must. I wanted to design a cool site that allowed Amanda to update clients and friends to things that she had going, such as, site updates, up coming shoots, etc…

If you’re into great photography, or in need of a creative photographer, I suggest you check her out. Amaliz Photography

Tumbler Monkey Old Flash Site

I figure since I’m currently redesigning this site, I would show you what the site used to look like. I loved working with Flash while in school, probably because I love everything animated. At the time, the site was pretty decent, but now it seems to have aged a bit poorly. I look over the site and realize how I would love to make it something else. Maybe I will actually redo the Flash version in the future, just because I love the interactive feel of it. I love me some Flash.

Jarheadv Gabb

I put many hours into this site because I wanted my buddy Jeremy to have one place he could go to; post a message, and have it visible to as many people as possible. Figuring that he would have limited time to access the internet while he was serving his tour in Iraq, this site would be his portal to all his friends. I know myspace does the same thing but I wanted him to have his own place, something he could call his own, some place where he had total control. Even though it hasn’t quite caught on like I wanted it to, it still is a great, simple site for my buddy…Jarhead.

We manipulated the theme to fit our needs. I really liked this it because it was setup in a way where the blog was the focus of the site, and not the plugins…but at the same time, still had a lot of plugin functionality.
